Pyhäpiilo is a sauna, nature spa and a place to relax. Enjoy the beautiful nature just outside the sauna complex; the location at the foot of a hill and by the lake is something special. The heart of Pyhäpiilo is our authentic smoke sauna. Sauna from Finland granted Pyhäpiilo their esteemed quality certificate for ice sauna, which is available during the winter season. The spa fits up to 40 people.
Pyhäpiilo is not located within the Rukan Salonki Resort area, but just a short drive away, on the shore of Lake Pyhäjärvi. It offers a perfect escape from everyday life – surrounded by the unique nature of Kuusamo, at the foot of the fell and right by the water.

Nature provides pampering herbs and medicaments for your body. These sauna treatments are based on traditional Finnish sauna culture and can be added to your sauna experience. Treatments can be ordered for min 4 people parties. We do not recommend hot tub with the treatments.

Saunasnack and Wildfood Dinner
We deliver snacks from sauna menu to saunas. At Pyhäpiilo we can offer three course wildfood dinner for parties of 8-12 people.
Makkarakimara (Sausages) 23 € / person
– Two different taste grill sausages served with potato salad, fresh green salad and pickled red onions
Rieskarullat (Finnish flatbread rolls) 20 € / person
– reindeer, fish or vegetable rolls
Pyhäpiilo sapas 35 € / person
– house-made bread with spread, local fish and meet, marinated tomatoes, rye crisps, local cheeses, cloudberry jam and chocolates
Pyhäpiilo Wild food dinner 80 € / person
– Selection of sapas (Finnish-style tapas), served with green salad and wild mushroom salad
– Traditional sautéed reindeer with mashed potatoes, lingonberries, and pickled cucumber

Outdoor hot tub
Complete your Pyhäpiilo sauna experience by relaxing in the outdoor hot tub under the starry sky or in the bright light of day.
The outdoor hot tub can be booked together with the sauna for €120 per reservation.
Ice Sauna at Pyhäpiilo
Pyhäpiilo offers an ice sauna and ice swimming opportunity during the winter season. Ice sauna fits about 10 people. In the outside hot tub you can relax and breath in the beautiful scenery.
