Booking- and cancellation terms

Please read these general booking and cancellation terms carefully. By making a reservation, the guest agrees to the terms and conditions outlined below. Rukan Salonki and Salonki Travels reserve the right to modify room rates, terms and conditions, house rules, and payment terms.

Minors staying without a guardian are required to provide a written consent from their legal guardian, which must be submitted to Rukan Salonki prior to the start of the accommodation.

Payments

All payments must be received by us on the given due dates in order to keep the reservations. We reserve the right to reject the confirmation if the payment has not been received by the due date. Payment can be done by invoice or as online credit card payment.

A 30% deposit will be required at the time of booking, and it must be paid within 10 days of receiving your booking confirmation. Full payment is due 30 days before arrival.

For last-minute bookings (less than 30 days before the arrival), all fees will be charged immediately.

Cancellations

All cancellations and modifications must be done in writing by email to (sales@salonkitravels.fi). A cancellation is considered to be taken in effect once the information arrives in our email. Leaving an invoice unpaid will not be considered as a cancellation.

Please note for different dates, apply different cancellation terms.

Accommodation

A. 1st of May – 31st of October 2025
– If cancelled 31 or more days prior to arrival, 10 % of the total amount will be charged.
– If cancelled between 30 days and 15 days prior to arrival, 50 % of the total amount will be charged.
– If cancelled 14 days or less prior to arrival, or in case of a no-show, 100 % of the total amount will be charged.

B. 1st of November 2025 – 30th of April 2026
– If cancelled before the 30th of September, 10 % of the total amount will be charged.
– For cancellations after the 30th of September, 30 % of the total amount will be charged if there is more than 61 days until arrival.
– If there are 60-45 days until arrival, 80 % of the total amount will be charged.

Note: If the cancellation is for the periods 20.12.2025 – 5.1.2026 & 7.2.2026 – 9.3.2026, 100 % of the total amount will be charged.

– If cancelled 44 days or less prior to arrival, or in case of a no-show, 100 % of the total amount will be charged.

Restaurant services

– If cancelled 61 or more days prior to arrival, a €50 office fee will be charged.
– If cancelled between 60 days and 45 days prior to arrival, 50 % of the total amount will be charged.
– If cancelled between 44 days and 29 days prior to arrival, 80 % of the total amount will be charged.

Note: If the cancellation is for the periods 20.12.2025 – 5.1.2026 & 7.2.2026 – 9.3.2026, 100 % of the total amount will be charged.

– If cancelled 28 days or less prior to arrival, or in case of a no-show, 100 % of the total amount will be
charged.

Activities and transfers

– If cancelled 31 or more days before arrival, a €50 office fee will be charged.
– If cancelled between 30 days and 15 days before arrival, 80 % of the total amount will be charged.
– If cancelled 14 days or less prior to arrival, or in case of a no-show, 100 % of the total amount will be charged.

Note: For the periods 20.12.2025 – 5.1.2026 & 7.2.2026 – 9.3.2026 the following cancellation terms apply.
– If cancelled 61 or more days prior to arrival, a €50 office fee will be charged.
– If cancelled between 60 days and 45 days before arrival, 50 % of the total amount will be charged.
– If cancelled 44 days or less prior to arrival, or in case of a no-show, 100 % of the total amount will be charged.

We recommend travel insurance to cover any unexpected costs. We are not required to accept a cancellation free of charge (if not stated differently in the cancellation terms). Not even if a medical certificate or other documentary evidence is presented.

Service Provider’s right to cancel the reservation

In case of force majeure, we are entitled to cancel the booking, and the customer is entitled to a full refund. However, we will consult all parties involved in the itinerary and a refund is done on the basis of a joint agreement.

The reservation can be cancelled without notification to the customer if payments or deadlines are not met. In case the office fees and deposit invoice have been paid but not the total rent, we have the right to keep the office fees and deposit.

If the stay has to be cut short due to unwelcome behavior, no refund will be given.

We hold the right to make changes in the timetables and the order of the programs. All programs can be adapted or cancelled due to the weather or other safety reasons.

House rules

We will send check-in and key instructions at least 1 day prior to arrival to the email address provided with the reservation.

The property is available for use from 4:00 PM on the day of arrival until 12:00 PM (noon) on the day of departure.

The rental price includes full access to the accommodation, bed linen and towels (mattresses, duvets, pillows), firewood, and basic kitchenware.

Final cleaning is included in the rental price. However, if the property is left in an unusually dirty condition or if smoking has occurred inside, an additional cleaning fee will be charged.
Smoking is strictly forbidden in all properties. A minimum fee of €2,000 will be charged for smoking indoors. If smoking is detected during the stay, the guest will be required to pay a minimum penalty of €2,000 and must vacate the property immediately without any refund for unused rental time.
The cost of additional cleaning is determined based on the condition and specific property.

Before you leave, please note the following:

  • Trash should be taken to the outdoor garbage bin (empty bottles can be left on the terrace)
  • The dishes must be washed and clean
  • The furniture must be in original places

The accommodation may not be used by more people than agreed upon at the time of booking.

Pets are not allowed in the Rukan Salonki villas. If pets are brought to the cottages despite this prohibition, a €1500 cleaning fee for allergy cleaning will be charged to the guest.

Two of the Sky View apartments allow pets, with a pet fee of €50 per stay.

Reclamations

Any complaints must be reported to us immediately after they arise, so that the issue can be resolved promptly.

Complaints submitted more than eight (8) days after the date of the service will no longer be processed.

We reserve the right to make changes to prices and terms. We also reserve the right to transfer your reservation to another similar accommodation unit.
